Purchasing a home can be a very stressful experience. Like buying a used car,  you can never be too sure what has happened in the life of your new investment before you took ownership. Even with new construction, builder defects or poor workmanship are not uncommon. It is our goal to give a comprehensive inspection of your home from top to bottom. Our visual inspection is augmented with the latest in home inspection technology to paint the best picture possible of the history of your investment. We want to give our clients the peace of mind they desire when purchasing a home and strive to make the experience as informative as possible. Some of our Whole-Home Inspection services include:

PLUMBING
SYSTEM

We inspect the plumbing system for leaks and adequate flow of components. We want to make sure there are no major issues with the plumbing system that could lead to possible structural damage as well as mold/mildew issues.

HEATING AND
COOLING SYSTEM
INSULATION AND
VENTILATION
ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM

Our thorough inspection of the heating and cooling system is designed to ensure all aspects of the systems that regulate the temperature in your home are functioning properly. We strive to make sure there are no major defects which could contribute to energy loss as well as damage to the structure.

It is extremely important to ensure your home is properly insulated and ventilated. Improper insulation and ventilation within a home are the leading causes of mold/mildew problems and can also directly contribute to the energy efficiency within your home.

The electrical system is inspected to make sure there are no improper connections or inadequate wiring that service your home. This is done to assess the risks of overheating within the electrical system as well as your homes ability to adequately supply the energy needed for its components.

FOUNDATION AND
STRUCTURE
EXTERIOR AND
INTERIOR
ROOFING AND
GUTTER SYSTEM
THERMAL
IMAGING

A home is only as good as its foundation. Our inspection of the foundation of your home is designed to reveal any potential structural or geographical issues which may pose costly repairs or possibly unsafe structural conditions.

We conduct a thorough exterior and interior inspection of the home looking for any major defects which could be indications of structural problems. These problems could lead to moisture intrusion or even weakening of the structure.

The roofing and gutter system are your homes first line of defense from the elements. The meticulous inspection of these components is crucial to ensuring your home is protected from weather related damages.

At Atlas Home Inspections, we utilize Thermal Imaging to see problems within the structure that might not be immediately noticeable to the naked eye. This non-invasive service is provided at no cost to the client to help ensure we have done everything possible to find any hidden issues within the home.

OPTIONAL ADD ON SERVICES

WE OFFER SEWER SCOPING FOR $200
($150 IF BOOKED WITH A WHOLE HOME INSPECTION.)

Some common issues that can be uncovered during a sewer scope inspection include cracks, blockages, and roots growing into the line. The importance of a sewer scope inspection lies in its ability to uncover potential problems with the sewer system before they become bigger and more expensive to fix. If you're looking at a home of any age, but especially those older than 20 years, it's wise to obtain a sewer inspection. Tree roots can grow significantly over a 20 year span and clog up the line; this is a fairly common problem.
